There is no gain in accuracy from a cheaper, vs a high end billet lower. I am not against anyone building their own AR, but I would suggest doing a small frame first. Building a large frame AR will be easy as pie, or your going to learn lots the hard way.įor small frame AR's there are essentially 4 company's that produce a mil-spec gun. I was building quite a few AR's after the sandyhook shootings, made some good money off them. Rainier Arms sells mostly upper end parts, with some of those being in-house branded. This saves you a bit of headache on making sure you get the correct parts the first time. If you are not buying a full gun, there are a few places around the net that will assemble one out of the parts you have picked out. There are a small number of companys that make very good parts. Most of the time they will take care of you, but in the mean time, you are spending cash on parts to fix their problem. I myself have passed on the aero sets, which sometimes I regret, but they have issues with certain runs being out of spec. And there is no TDP to speak of for large frame AR's. Here in lies the problem of the low end AR parts market.they are cheap !! but not of mil-spec quality. What spring did you use ? carbine or a blue springco ? Which buffer did you get ? AND best of all.is your gas block on correctly. What I will say tho, is if you have problems with it running, its quite easy to get lost on what to do. Their barrels are match guaranteed moa accuracy and they will match the the bolt for you, this being the big key to accuracy in an AR. They will put together the upper for you for a small fee.
